Help is available, now

________________

ATASK is a safe, confidential, and private organization you can call even if you or your family have no immigration papers or documents. Help is available for everyone, even for women who are single, pregnant, have children, or don’t have family. You do not have to speak English to call – we have services in many Asian languages.

If you, a child, or someone you know feels unsafe by someone:

  • Always yelling, criticizing, or insulting you Demanding how you should look or dress Controlling your money or spending without your knowledge or agreement Threatening to report you to immigration authorities or not filing immigration papers for you
  • Hitting, pushing, grabbing, or threatening you, or frequently taking risks, like reckless driving
  • Following or stopping you from working or having control of your own life
  • Forced or unwanted sex, even if you are married or single.
  • Hurting your children or using them against you
  • Refusing to buy food or neglecting daily needs for you or your children

Then, you may be in an abusive relationship

Our Program & Services

You can make an impact!

Volunteer

ATASK makes real differences in real people’s lives.  But we don’t do it by working miracles: we do it with the help of people like you. Without you, ATASK would be unable to provide its promised help for survivors of domestic violence in the Greater Boston and Lowell communities.

All you have to do is care.  We’ll help you accomplish the rest.

Donate

ATASK empowers survivors to transform their lives. We hope that your support will inspire creative fundraising ideas and celebration opportunities for families, groups, small businesses, and schools and will enable a broad range of donors to experience the joy of giving to a vital cause.

Our wish is for a peaceful world without family violence.

"Housing in our emergency shelter in a welcoming and culturally sensitive environment."

"Outreach to Asian ethnic communities to build awareness and increase access to programs and services."

"Programs in Boston and Lowell that empower clients to live safe and self-sufficient lives."

"Education and training that includes teen dating violence workshops in schools, and domestic violence and cultural competency trainings to professionals."
